History
Created in 1999, as the Chicago One Stop Capital Shop, CCV was formed as a partnership between the Small Business Administration, Empowerment Zone, and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, the vision for the organization was to drive business growth in Chicago’s underserved communities through one-on-one business assistance.
Today, the core goal remains but our market has expanded to include businesses in low and moderate income areas throughout the region, not just Chicago, as well as, women- and minority-owned enterprises. Our services too have grown beyond basic business assistance. We now offer financing and procurement services, including loans from our Neighborhood Transformation Loan Fund, as well as assistance with tax deductions for commercial revitalization.
Our accomplishments to date include:
- 1226 new jobs created
- 3223 existing jobs retained
- $91 million in new contracts secured
- $41 million in loans packaged and financed
- $2.6 million loaned directly to businesses in low and moderate income areas
- $20.4 million in tax deductions allocated
- $21.5 million in alternative financing secured
- $600,000 in matching Challenge Grants awarded
